• @noahtalerman: User requested this because the hired Brinqa to build an integration that polls several Fleet API endpoints which puts some strain on the customers self-hosted Fleet deployment. The customer wants performance metrics on API requests (guess) so that they can better inform Brinqa on which endpoints to use more frequently and less frequently.

@Patagonia121 From the Gong snippet, it appears the customer is gathering OpenTelemetry data. We have integration for both OpenTelemetry and Amazon APM for the /fleet/software/versions endpoints. See video demos:

That said, there are some Fleet features that are missing telemetry, including:

• API endpoints mentioned here https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/issues/19696
• cron jobs
• Redis accesses
• HTTP requests that Fleet is making to other servers
