Goal

Have a dark-mode option during the deployment and a toggle within the settings.

Why?

Helps with the eyes!

+1 from me. This is a UI feature that's often in mind. As a rough teaser, I mocked up this concept for fun and fancy in Figma not long ago.

Heads up @Patagonia121 and @rachaelshaw, this feature request was brought to feature fest on 2024-02-15 and wasn't prioritized for the current design sprint.
