Suggestion: automatic time scale

I normally do not like "auto-set" things, it usually makes your instrument go to defaults which may not be convenient. However, when doing frequency sweeps or similar, it is cumbersome to have to change the time scale all the time. Even simple digital scopes (e.g., Tektronix 1000 series) has an option to make the t-scale automatic (but keeping all other settings). Would it be possible to add this to the Owon?

I didn't know about this feature. Is the time scaling preformed only once when requested or is it automatically adjusted each time the waveform is refreshed ?

Indeed, here is on one of my Tektronix TBS1064. The AUTORANGE can be set to

• both t and v channels
• only t
• only v

It is quite more useful than "autoset" (which also exists) but sometimes gives you odd setups and also changes a few things you may not want changed. I don't know what smarts are needed to make this happen.
