also added a pom.xml for maven deployment/maven central release, somehow travis needs to be told to continue using gradle

Thanks @jjYBdx4IL for this PR. There are too many unrelated changes in this PR. Please split them into separate issues. Also here are my comments on some changes:

We won't change our build from Gradle to Maven. So don't include a pom.xml.
We won't change our official group to "com.github.jjYBdx4IL.chess".
We use Semantic Versioning. 1.4.1.1 is not a correct version.
Don't include a copyright-header.txt. Apache License 2.0 does not require it.
Also I cannot see a reason to include ASCII output in a protocol handler.

For the above reasons I will close this issue. Please feel free to comment on this PR or open other issues. Thanks.
