Yes I'll release 0.18.1 shortly.

OK. I tested demo.py on Mac with Python 2.6.9, 2.7.6, 3.2.5, 3.3.4 and it displays the first page of the supplied PDF file as expected. I tested the 2.6 and 2.7 versions also with Frescobaldi's Music View and it works as expected. Let me know if you need further tests with these Python versions.
