Beginning in 2022, I intend to start selfhosting as much as I can, using YunoHost, NextCloud, and other selfhosted apps, to move away from dependence on Google and other Big Data companies who monetize our personal data. As the saying goes, "if you're not paying for it, then chances are you're not the customer; you're just the product that is being sold." I no longer accept the premise of my personal life being the product that giant mega corporations sell off to their advertiser customers. With this project, I intend to take back ownership of my own digital life.
