Bloom Soap Co. e-commerce pattern

To create a pattern library for a made up company called Bloom Soap Co.

Bloom Soap Co. is a soap company that uses all natural ingredients, they only sell bar soap but have a variety of different kinds for consumers to enjoy. On top of being all natural they are eco-friendly and use only biodegradable package. The website is meant to be a clean and simple website, only using white and blue for colors. The Logo is a simple design showing a lotus flower with waves below it symbolizing their natural products. In summary the website is meant to be simple so that consumers have an easy experience for making purchases for quality soap products.


Installation

The pattern library is a Jekyll & Patternbot based application, so it requires Ruby to be installed.

☛ Follow these instructions to get Ruby & Bundler installed

  1. Navigate to the correct folder in Terminal. Use GitHub Desktop’s Repository > Open in Termal command.
  2. Type the following command bundle install

Starting the server

The pattern library is a Jekyll & Patternbot based application that requires a running Terminal instance.

  1. Navigate to the correct folder in Terminal. Use GitHub Desktop’s Repository > Open in Termal command.
  2. Type the following command: bundle exec jekyll serve
  3. View the functional website at: http://localhost:4000
  4. View the pattern library at: http://localhost:4000/pattern-library/
