Jeremy and I worked well on this project team-wise but were unable to get the actual drupal server up and running. Lots of steps and command line entries required for server/php/mysql configuration. We missed an essential piece of info -- that the drupal files had to be in the MAMP/htdocs directory. Picking up on this earlier would have helped to avoid several hours of research and confusion. Prior to attempting the local server approach, we started up a hosted Drupal site and started a "read me" how-to for working with Drupal but changed course to the local-hosted option since we anticipated doing more code-like work.
