• use the format with {.dollar expr}
• define the function with epoxy_transform_inline(.dollar = \(x) ...)
• or you update it with epoxy_transform_set(.dollar = \(x) ...)

Currently the non-dot argument name style of epoxy_transform_inline() would stand out
