Hackintosh MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 (a) guide for Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master (OpenCore)

This build is "Vanilla" forked from orginal cmer https://github.com/cmer/gigabyte-z390-aorus-master-hackintosh. I used this guide to build my own OpenCore configuration.

Due to severe bug in the TRIM implementation of Samsung SSDs which coused very long boot times in MacOS Monterey I've change my primary NVMe drive from Samsung 500GB M.2 PCIe NVMe 970 EVO to WD 500GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Black SN750. Now one Samsung 970 Evo NVMe drive is installed in M.2 slot and second using ICY BOX PCIe M.2 M-Key SSD M.2 NVMe Controler connected to PCIe Slot 2. Drive need to be formatted in non APFS filesystem to prevent TRIM check at boot.

• DRMs - DRM isn't supported for Safari 14 and Big Sur/Monterey via WhateverGreen's DRM patches at this moment but now using defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA gvaForceAMDKE -boolean yes that forces AMD DRM decoder for streaming services (like Apple TV and iTunes movie streaming). More details here.

Not Working (as expected)

• Built-in WIFI. There is OpenIntelWireless project but didn't checked it yet https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/itlwm.
• Onboard Bluetooth. I disabled it (HS14) because I have a natively supported Broadcom BCM94360CD WIFI/BT adapter.

Not Yet Tested

• FileVault
• Unlock with Apple Watch

This guide is forked from original cmer guide, I followed the OpenCore Desktop Guide guide to build my own config.plist. When in doubt, just look at my KEXTs, drivers and config.list for guidance.

My EFI

You are welcome to use my EFI folder. However, make sure you set the following:

• SystemSerialNumber
• SystemUUID
• MLB
• calculate your own slide velue in boot-args if necessary (https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/extras/kaslr-fix.html)
