Extremely extremely important, but might I suggest having a checkmark next to each line, then the title of the advancement, and the cost is written for all of them, but that cost is not applied until the checkbox for that line is checked. Though, this could also lead to some problems... perhaps...
Entry box... 1) Attribute, Skill, Perk, or Enhancement Name 2) Select whether it's an Attribute (which attribute), Skill (which skill), Perk or Enhancement (if it's a Perk or Enhancement, those listed ahead are automatically calculated (5, 7, 9, 11, etc))
Then they're shown on the line with the [checkbox] [Name] [Points].
I don't know whether or not that's possible, but with the API they have I can't imagine it's impossible to figure something out.
Now that Leamon is working diligently to complete the changes for 1.5, and there's a broad discussion about this on the U.S. server, there may be some changes to how Experience is used. Talk was of having variable costs for Unskilled and not-Unskilled skills, and I suggested some cost differences and limiting skills by what reality was most likely to be able to pick up what skills, though I'm sure it won't get any traction. However, there was also a pretty large discussion about Perk costs, limiting Perks by the growth of your Character, and making Perks like Spellcasting, Psionics, Miracles, which can be purchased several times have a static cost after initial purchase. So, I would keep this one active until all of that is framed out; there's no telling when that's going to happen, or if ANY of these changes will make it into 1.5, but it's worth putting this one on the back-burner for a bit, I think.
So this would include increasing an attribute / skill or adding a perk, the EP-cost would be substracted by the click?
Sounds fun and convenient. But I'd suggest we should build in a toggle in editing / playing mode to avoid unwanted advancements.
I could not agree more.
Postponed till #52 is done, but still on 12.3.0 milestone!
