@devinrcheevers could you please be more specific why current maintenance feature does not work for them? :)
Hi,
cross linking this issue as it appears to be the same request: Issue173
I think what it boils down to is f.e. the following scenario:
F.e. a network provider announces a maintenance for Sunday 3pm to 7pm. It would be nice to schedule a maintenance that starts at 3pm and lasts for 4hrs. So the duration field could be reused, but it would be a great deal to just be able to set a start date + time. That way the oncall person doesn't need to be present to set the maintenance window on the integration in question.
Depending on the integration setup it would also make sense to allow for a "global" maintenance in the sense of putting all or select integrations in maintenance mode at specific times to account for f.e. those network maintenance windows. One can do that manually for x hours now, but figure a Mimir setup with e.g. 40+ tenants that are all affected. The manual work required is quite insane and there's no API endpoint that could be utilized to my knowledge?
Would that make sense in your opinion @Matvey-Kuk ? Also are there any plans on being able to set a maintenance via API call as well as being able to remove it as well via API call? That way it would allow for more org-specific setups without overloading OnCall on a general level.
Thank you - appreciate the work you put into Oncall so far - it's great.
