Currently the only way to connect a phone to OnCall is via verify through SMS, there should be allowance for verification by programmable voice or to bypass and use an admin interface to assign phone numbers. This would allow land lines to be connected for Call based notification. There are some organizations which also use a non SMS capable phone number to forward calls to their on-call staff, this would be useful in that case too.
Currently we can bypass this limitation by manually adding a number to the verified column in the database. Editing the database to enable is obviously not ideal. It could also be nice to add some bulk import feature for phone contacts through the admin interface or via API but that is likely a different issue.
The current version of Grafana OnCall, at the time this issue was opened, is v1.3.7. If your issue pertains to an older version of Grafana OnCall, please be sure to list it in the PR description. Thank you :smile:!
