The proposed (untested) implementation uses this header and this C++ source file. Before we can change to this behavior, I need to test out the implementation and do requisite debugging on Linux and Mac.

This is more difficult than I anticipated. Closing the issue for now as it is not mission critical to ensuring that RNAStructViz support for its core features is working well.
