I think so ;)

But testing is a nightmare doing it with sd-cards on the pi.

At the moment I'm testing the images with qemu and for this I need the changes in this PR. I tested these changes on a pi with no side effects (the new service does nothing when running on a pi).

The qemu setup is a work in progress and can be shared when it's ready if interested.

Cool, if you have instructions how to run in qemu would love to see. I also have a few things running on qemu and docker has issues inside.
