• New schedule for Research meeting - options: 1) weekly with no gaps, 2) weekly with 1 week, 3) something else. New day and time: Monday 3-4p starting 10/21
• Sara's availability on Fri: 11-11:30am until Dec

Upcoming research issues:

• Sara would like to do research on best practices on 1) letter writing, 2) joining Sylvia on legal / policy research
• UXR templates on usability testing

What is comparable to declaration?

• Not quite a cover letter for a job
• Not quite a resume
• Req human intervention
• So can it be to help people gather the information to then write it
• Major dif between declaration and cover letter: you need key info since it will be read carefully
• Went through the LG together: how to use examples or explanations that make a letter successful. Prompting to edit is important -- how is hard question.
• 80% of Californians don't know that they're dealing with a legal problem
• 80% of Californians have a conviction (likely higher if you include arrests
• What about for limited English speakers?
