After cloning, inside the project directory, run:

$ composer update
$ composer install

command above creates vendor files required in composer.json

then copy .env.example to .env

$ cp .env.example .env

generate app key by

$ php artisan key:generate

set up compile js files with

$ npm install
$ npm run dev

run migrations

$ php artisan migrate

create link between storage

$ php artisan storage:link
