About Me

I recently graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the Integrated Science program at McMaster University with a biology concentration. I am an MSc student in the Department of Geography working under the supervision of Dr. Simon Donner. I will be pursuing research on climate change and the impact that it has on coral reef biomes.

Homework #1:

Objectives:

• create a new repository and edit the README.md file using a variety of different syntax
• extend the R Markdown for Gapminder exploration document

Homework #2:

Objectives:

• explore a new datset and begin to establish a workflow for data frames or tibbles
• use dplyr and ggplot2 to explore individual variables and visualization (i.e. various plot types)
• use the functions filter(), select(), and %>% to filter rows and select variables in a principled or name-based manner

Objectives:

• manipulate and explore a dataset with the dplyr package, complemented by visualizations made with ggplot2
