Realearn not showing up after following install instruction #924

Realearn will not show up in any menu after following the instructions to install from repo.

Which ReaLearn version? Which OS? Where are you looking for ReaLearn? It's supposed to be in the list of VST instruments.

2.15. Windows 11. I'm looking in both VST instruments and FX.

Oh thanks. Some more questions.

I suppose you have VST scanning generally enabled?

When you look into your REAPER resource folder/UserPlugins/FX, which files do you see?

Does it work for you in a newly installed portable REAPER version?

I checked for VST scanning and it wasn't on. Ticked it on and restarted Reaper and it now shows in VSTi. Much apologies for the bothersome request, I am truly grateful for your time and effort. Now to figure out the rest of your plugin!

Ah okay! I should mention this in the installation tutorial :) I was until recently not even aware that it's possible to turn that off.

I do believe adding it to the tutorial would be beneficial for people like myself whom aren't seasoned with DAWs and plugins.

Well, Looks like seasoned enough to know how to switch off VST scanning 😄

Haha! You can thank the Reaper set up tutorial video I watched 2 weeks ago 😅

Hi Helgoboss. Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place. Thank you for your inspiring work on Playtime and Realearn.

I've been looking forward to updates to both packages and I noticed on your web page that ReaLearn 2.16 was now out (I have 2.15) which seemed to add functionality but when I try to synchronise packages to update in ReaPack (as instructed) 2.16 doesn't download.

Browsing packages in Reapack 2.16 says "Helgobox: Early access. Don't use!" Is it not syncing because of the name change? Should I download it anyway? Can I revert to 2.15 if there are any probs?

It's not officially out yet. It's since many months in the pre-release phase. You need to right click the ReaLearn package in ReaPack and manually choose the latest version.
