Add scratchpad to stumpwm-contrib? #1

Thanks for your great work on your scratchpad code! It works well for me to have floating windows to pop into a terminal, chat, etc. I think it might even be more straightforward than in i3, at least for how I use it. I don't have any issues that I've noticed, though have only used the floating variant and am still figuring out Stump more generally.

I think this would make a great addition to the StumpWM contrib repository. I basically just took the window and scratchpad code, and other than a quick package change (since I didn't use your entire setup) it was easy to use and set up.

Do you plan to add it to contrib? I'd be happy to help with testing or getting it packaged.

Sorry, I almost never check github for messages. I haven't used stumpwm in a while, as it would crash about once a day(though due to the way my config worked it would most resume after little window shuffling). Probably an issue with the master branch of stumpwm which wasn't fixed at the time, or some way I was using it. Maybe if I come back to stumpwm I'll look into separating out the code. If you want to take anything here and repackage it, feel free. I'll throw up an Unlicense if you need it.

No problem. Sure, I can repackage it, would be fun to contribute in my favorite language. StumpWM contrib packages can use any license the author wants, so I will defer to whatever you want to put up.

Thanks again!

PS: Stump has been working quite well for me, other than a rare crash or hang. I haven't quite figured out the right recovery procedure when this happens, but it hasn't for a while at least. And the last few times something has gone funky, it managed to come back after waiting a little.

I made a basic package that I use available on Github: https://github.com/podiki/scratchpad I used the Unlicense as that seemed to be what you were going to use, but happy to change it to whatever you want. I'll look into getting it included in StumpWM-contrib in the future too.
