The app is attempting to use the external URL but it seems to be configured to a local IP address. Please go into settings and ensure the proper URLs are used.
somehow the external URL got switched back to internal. Updated and started working. Thanks a ton.
Home Assistant Android version: 2022.2.1-full
Android version: 12
Phone model: Note 20 Ultra 5G
Home Assistant version: Home Assistant OS 7.4
Last working Home Assistant release (if known):
Description of problem: The device tracker only works when connected to the local internet where Home Assistant is connected. The device tracker tracks the device 2 houses down until it can be connected to the home network. From that point onwards, the location will stay there until I return home. Referred to all the steps that need to be performed to solve this like enabling all the location-based sensors with high precision mode, battery optimization disabled with the app has full background access as well as data access. It fails to connect to Home Assistant when not connected to the same network.
Traceback (if applicable, to get the logs you may refer to: https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/troubleshooting/faqs/#android-crash-logs):
Screenshot of problem: I was out from 10 AM to 2 PM but this shows I was home all the time.
Additional information: Defined a zone in Configuration as following:
Geolocation tracked that I was out but it only could catch until my phone is in the network. So the pink line in the graph I was out all the time but the address on that Pink line is my neighbors. Anything after that is stuck to his address.
