update README.md #13

Now #10 looks to be resolved, here's the knitted version of README.Rmd I was trying to send through in #11. Please ignore if you have aversion to displaying the windows file paths though! :)

the md get's gen'd from the Rmd & I think I captured all the changes. #ty!

Just added some tests & appveyor & code coverage. once they run, i'll re-push my changes.
