For the record, simply changing the craftcms/cms version constraint & dropping the dependency to albertcht/invisible-recaptcha makes the plugin compatible with Craft 5.

Anything related to reCaptcha will obviously be broken but the following features work as expected:

@DynamiteGoesBoom are you able to estimate a timeline on this so that we can decide whether to postpone Craft v5 upgrades or go ahead with the workaround suggested above?

This is such a great plugin that we use it on many sites, so I'd like to avoid workarounds if possible.

Just a +1 from me, I use this plugin on a couple of projects and it’s one of the few I cannot simply remove because it provides functionality that is not optional.

Thank you all for your patience with us. We are planning on handing over the maintenance of this plugin to our friends at CraftPulse. We're hoping to have this in their capable hands in the next couple of weeks. CFE deserves more attention than we can adequately provide at this time.

@brandonkelly can Pixel & Tonic take this plugin and set the goal of absorbing the functionality directly into the Contact Form plugin? For now, many of us just need it to support Craft v5.

This extension is essential for your base plugin given online spam and the need for site owners to keep a record of all submissions beyond their email inboxes.
