Ability to 'sign off' on a TAF assessment project

Define the process to finalise or sign off on a TAF stock assessment project.

This could be linked to the audit process, where the group agree that this (TAF project) is the final assessment. Then, a stock coordinator and ADG chair to sign off?

However, for TAF we simply need a flag to say it is signed off and able to be used downstream.

We may also have flags to represent the ICES advice process.

• It could be sensible, to simply have a sign off, and indicating to upstream users that it is a safe / quality source.
• the upstream user can select which signed off project outputs to use.

• Add the review of code into the guidlines for chairs
• decide how this works, do we release code and then review, or is the release the ouptput of the reivew
• One idea is:
  • EG provide ADG with a release of the code and a SAG output and advice sheet
  • any changes to code required by ADG results in a new code review and release.

Comments from WGTAF:

• concern over increased workload at stock assessment EGs with the additional autiding tasks
• Can we make it less tick box and more review, so an assessment gets a score, and then ADG and ACOM can decide if this is OK
• We don not want to see this as an extra burden
• Perhaps the benchmark workshop has a high level of scrutiny/auditing, but the EG workshop is almost as is today
• positive encourangement checks rather than burden

I think the workflow in the Miro board seems very reasonable. Are there also guidelines, a grading rubric, or something similar for what to check and how to score? I think a clear grading rubric would ensure efficient and consistent audits, and make it clear for everyone what is expected, and it can also be used when writing the code - not just to correct it.

Then a summary of the checks access a chain of TAF analyses can be queried for a data product....
