Smartthings devices all unresponsive

Hi, I've had my docker container which Hombridge sits in down for a couple of weeks and fired it back up today. Before I shut it down, everything was working great, but now, none of my SmartThings devices are responsive.

The same devices are working fine via SmartThings directly, but when I try either via HomeKit or HomeBridge Accessories page, they don't.

Other HomeBridge projects working ok, eg Ring

I've cleared all device cache and let it rediscover, which it does fine, so comms to the SmartThings hub is obviously ok.

Not sure what is happening. If you put homebridge into debug then send me the log, I may be able to see what is happening, but my guess is you are just not getting responses from smartthings.

I am seeing in the logs that the response from the device status query is not returning before the next query goes out. This is something I would like to try and resolve (waiting until we send out another query). I am going to work on a patch and would like you to try it to see if it improves things.

However, it is unusual that were aren’t seeing a response within 5 seconds. However, the plugin is doubling requests up at times which may be contributing to the problem. I’ll advise once I get this done.

But I am curious if you are running something like the DNS blocker notes here.

I think I’m encountering similar problems. My setup is Homebridge on a Docker container in Ubuntu and I was getting the same errors yesterday. I have downgraded to the previous version and am getting reoccurring “Poll failure” errors on just about everything. I will look into how to pull and submit a bug report but was interested in any progress made here.

For now, you can reduce the amount of polling by changing the polling paramters. Zero will disable them. Larger numbers will make them infrequent.

Thanks for the update! I think I have less than 20 devices so I'm not sure that's the issue. I'll try to reduce the polling parameters when I get off of the road. For now I'm on 1.4.19 and while it's still throwing errors in the log, all of the devices in Apple Home are at least functioning. Appreciate what you've done with this plugin!

What polling parameters do you recommend? I'm still getting a lot of "Error: connect ETIMEDOUT" errors even on 1.4.19
