Nest thermostat and cameras connected via Smartthings won't show on Homebridge #206

Hi,

Thank you provide us a such nice plugins, I love it so very much. I'm currently using Smartthings as a bridge to connect all my Nest devices include Thermostat and Cameras, I can control these devices through Smartthings app. However these Nest devices won't show on Homebridge.

Send me the names of the missing devices and follow the instructions below to send me the detailed logs when you start up.

Watching this thread as my nest thermostat also not showing up in Home. I ran the debug and inspected the regular log and it doesn't appear that nest shows up at all. No error code, just not there.

Hi very new to this and definitely not program savvy just good at copy past if there are instructions…. That said I’m just parking my comment here also to say thanks for making any of this work… but I to have the issue where my nest is visible in the SmartThings app but does not appear as something I can load to home kit with the expected outcome of adding the device… it does not even show as something g to be added…. will g to help in any way I can but again my programming skill is copy past…

Follow the instructions in the document below and send me the detailed logs. Let me know the name of the device you are trying to add. I have to see how it is reported by the smartthings app.

Was there any solution for this issue? I have all my devices show up in homebridge, except my nest thermostat. The debug log doesn't have the nest devices too. Not sure what I'm missing.

I have a similar setup with Ecobee.... I connect Ecobee natively to HomeKit directly and select "Ignore Device" in Homebridge as I don't need Ecobee to be surfaced to HomeKit via Homebridge as it's already there

Only the latest models support HomeKit thru Matter.
