Yes, whenever new code needs to be tested on the UAT (and afterwards deployed on PRD) we need to post a request to an overworked IT specialist. This is most cumbersome and slows development significantly.

Whenever a branch is merged with the uat - branch, after going through the pull request review process, the newest version of the uat branch should be automatically deployed to the UAT - environment (exoten-uat.inbo.be).
Whenever the uat - branch gets merged with the main - branch a deployment to the PRD - environment should be triggered.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Continuation of manual deployment upon request will keep progress slow and IT - specialists overburdened.
