tools that georeference data with only textural locations #7

To georeference data that only has textual locations, there is a service that can do this for you and provide decimalLatitude, decimalLongitude, geodeticDatum, and coordinateUncertaintyInMeters as a csv sent to an email address.

The gazetteer does include marine locations. I'm not sure how it compares to the obis maptool though.

The OBIS maptool has geocoding service based on marineregions. it gives centroid, radius: https://obis.org/maptool/
