Any YT video errors out with 'E' status #16

Using any version from here: https://greasyfork.org/scripts/1783-vlctube/versions Except v57.9, it's not even loading per #14.

It did work previously, using some old VLCTube from userscripts. I think it was ~v51. I had to try to update VLCT since a lot of videos started to throw errors.

I dun goofed, missed a check for the newfangled 'cloneInto' :p Also be sure to use atleast GM 1.15, addon site installed 0.9 for Fx24esr for some reason by default : shudders :

lostdj commented 10 years ago

Tried out your fix, but since it's not loading at all...

Also be sure to use atleast GM 1.5

Did you mean 1.15? I have that. And anything higher won't install.

jackun commented 10 years ago

Ah yes, 1.15

lostdj commented 9 years ago

Thanks! v57.11 loads now.

But not all of the videos plays. This does: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2uNDlP4RiE And this doesn't: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgigpC-xAB8

Interestingly, VLC itself can't play that last one.

Also it's slow as hell now. And after updating to VLC 2.1.5 PM's plugin-container crushes all the time. Oh well. :<

jackun commented 9 years ago

Hm, both work for me. That annoying copyright crap.

Also it's slow as hell now?

As in plugin takes forever to load?

Even if you open it directly in VLC (ctrl + n)?

I don't know what is going on behind the curtains, but it's slow on every page load and reload. Even when plugin is already loaded.

Yes, but on some weird version

2.1.5 Rincewind (revision 2.1.4-49-gdab6cb5)

Ah, it could be a config saving bug i had. One thing to try is to go to firefox profile folder and delete VLCTube.db* files.

Nope, nothing changed. :(
