Watching this video without VLCtube displays 2 lines of subtitles which make it easier to follow than VLCtube's 1 line only.

BTW - the subs of that video are marked English/English

TIA.

Subtitle timing seems to just overlap. Dunno if the different subtitle "renderer" affects anything. I tried to enhance the subtitle handling by keeping the previous line if its duration overlaps the new line one.

Many thanks for the quick fix. :)

It's probably not easy but it would be great if you'll add the option to have a black background to the subtitles (like the original YT player).

Doesn't seem to have that option unless it is undocumented.

You are probably right..no option in VLC Web Plugin.. :(

VLC itself though does support it: [How to add black background to subtitles in VLC - YouTube] - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHCk93KdsD4 ]
