Agricultural soil with a plant on it erodes and leaves the plant in midair

Steps to reproduce:

1. Find a sort-of flat area.
2. Place a block of agricultural soil on it, in my case I used wet silty agricultural soil.
3. Plant some seeds immediately.
4. The block will eventually erode into a slab, leaving the plant hanging in the air.

Expected behavior:

There are two possible solutions:

1. Destroy the young plant on top when an agricultural soil block erodes.
2. Make soil with plants on them immune or at least resistant to erosion. In real life roots will stabilize soil.
