MQBCoding Main menu empty #181

Good day,

First of all thank you for this tool to customize my car a little more. Unfortunatly I was not able to make it work (yet).

I followed your installation guide and everything went well during installation. After installation I checked the green menu screen for the additional option "mqbcoding" which it had as shown in the picture I took. 20211023_122907

But when I went in their I only got the option to update or the "....." to return to the main menu. 20211023_132457

If i choose the update option, it will say no script found. So that doesnt do anything either: 20211023_132505

Hopefully @jilleb or someone else can help me with this issue and can get the toolbox function as it should. I was looking to see if i can remove and reinstall it, but see how to do that.

I also posted a picture of the version im on. 20211020_203700

I also noticed that toolbox before installing it said "Y" but now it says "N" as shown below: 20211023_132610

Please help me with this issue.

You can do a secondary test with experimental branch of the toolbox. Otherwise you gem could be too old. But honestly it seems more like the rest of the files aren't transferred correctly to the unit.

Hi @olli991. Thank you for replying and thinking for a solution. Is there a way to update the GEM or a way to repeat the installation of the toolbox so all files can still transfered?

Yes with activated developer mode on the unit you can use Custom SWLD and change the N to An Y so it will install again. If you use experimental build it will also be Y because it have a newer build number.

Hi @olli991 What is custom SWLD how do i use it? Is their a link where it is explaind or ot shows what it is? Where can i find experimental builds to download?

This might be a long shot, but is it possible to make the system think the current version (non experimantal) build is a newer version like 4.11.1 so i will also get the Y and install again by changing/adding it in one of the notepad files?

Issue has been solved. I found out if you have an " N " after installing the software, you can still reinstall or repeat installation or setup by long pressing the select button when standing on the line with the " N " like below 20211023_132610

I think i got the issue because i had an sd card in NTFS format and could not format it to FAT32 because of the big size (128 gb). I had another SD card of 32 gb which i could format to FAT32 so i did. I tried reinstalling the software as i mentioned in the beginning and i finnaly got al options :D hopefully this will also help someone else with similar issues.
