As a facilitator, I want a separate "control" view that is distinct from what participants see, so that participants have clarity around their role and only see what they have to. #12

This could be limited to the person who made the room, a la hatjitsu.

Ex: The room-creator, presumably the facilitator, could see metrics, "pop" button, etc., whereas the participants would be limited to adding themselves to the stack.

Yep. We've collaboratively done this and it hasn't been much of a problem, but I agree that it can be.

Would a checkbox like Hatjitsu's [x] I'm a facilitator work? It would show the Pop and reordering controls among other things we consider of the facilitator role.

I think we could do it that way. I wonder if it is simpler to do it the way hatjitsu does, in that the creator of the new room is automatically the facilitator.
