fixed ping issue on systems with LC_NUMERIC other den en_* #259

Ping test fails on systems which use , as decimal separator. Using the the system locale setting to format the floats should fix it for all locales

I do all the development in 'test' branch. Please pull my test branch then apply your changes and send the pull to test . I know i should really clarify this or start using 'develop' branch at some point.
