I think it's time to dust off this amazing idea for JSFest.

Adobe is the perfect venue, @brianleroux can you help with that? The Saturday before JSFest is probably ideal.

I'm going to be running around like crazy doing stuff for JSFest so I doubt I can run this event and do intros and stuff. @cramforce are you up for it? I can handle the ticket sales and whatever funding needs we have (although if the venue is free there might not be much).

ya should be no problem, lots of runway to book, I'll look into it today

mikeal commented 10 years ago

word. i'm trying to find the threads i started a while back about ideas for it.

brianleroux commented 10 years ago

gotta get Chris Wilson, Alex Russell, and Brendan to speak

mikeal commented 10 years ago

i think we'd have to put Brendan on a couch and interview him, he only does "that talk he does" when he's speaking. I'm thinking "Story Time w/ Brendan Eich"

brianleroux commented 10 years ago

Love that. We then need to source a fireplace, a record playing jazz, smoking jacket, and lounge chair.

Could get original team members from Dreamweaver to share some stories too. They are cool guys and work on Brackets now so it would fun.

mikeal commented 10 years ago

Weren't you going to give a talk on using Dreamweaver 2.0 or something?

brianleroux commented 10 years ago

dude we could get the guys that worked on it to do that talk!

mikeal commented 10 years ago

on the couch they'd be great, but i wonder if they can really joke their way through an old demo :)

brianleroux commented 10 years ago

@mikeal what date do want the venue for? March is open. =)

mikeal commented 10 years ago

Would it be reasonable to do it on a weekday or should we do a weekend day?

brianleroux commented 10 years ago

Friday afternoon conf! Split work early for 3pm-6pm or something. More meetup-ish this way but super easy to execute.

mikeal commented 10 years ago

@brianleroux what's the seating capacity? I'll need to know this before we can open up tickets.

Also, don't send out the link yet, but http://dhtmlconf.com/

brianleroux commented 10 years ago

Pretty sure it is 300. What date!?

mikeal commented 10 years ago

I put this on the website "Friday March 7th 2pm - 7pm"

We're good with that right?
