Hey Mikeal,
I just saw your tweet about a JavaScript Art Show. You should definitely talk to Darius Kazemi (@tinysubversions) and Evelyn Eastmond (@evhan55). Darius is more (in my opinion) a JS conceptual artist and Evelyn is a visual artist teaching a JavaScript class at RISD aimed at other visual artists.
It just so happens that we're sending them both to you for JSFest to probably do a creative coding workshop, so bonus?
Oh, and I also saw Brad Bouse (@bradbouse) talk about coding for art at CascadiaJS. It was awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmhArVMUCm0.
And yes, Alex is right - Jenn Schiffer is amazing.
oh yea we could also get some kids to do entries using http://voxelbuilder.com/, either ahead of time or at the event

Find some gallery space and fill it with JavaScript art.
