Schedule/Timing:
Our first Facebook post went out on March 26th Saturday for the April 30/May 1st sale. It would be nice to have some follow-up posts - maybe the first one a week later (this upcoming weekend April 9/10).
Post Idea
Create a post highlighting our Lupines for the Spring Sale. Also shoutout nursery volunteer(s) and give a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes effort.
Suggested Post Text (Feel free to use as is or revise!)
"We’re so excited to have 6 varieties of Humboldt County native lupines available at our Spring Sale!
Last October, volunteer Callie chipped hundreds of lupine seeds by hand in a process called scarification. We are so thankful for her hard work as we have been enjoying our most successful year of lupine starts yet!
Lupines are nitrogen fixing and are important plants for butterflies and other wildlife. Plant them this spring and enjoy their beautiful and unique spires of blooms!
Check out our website for more plant sale details (and volunteer information!)

"Scarifying the seeds was a painstaking process but resulted in a much higher germination rate than previous years. In the wild, lupine seeds might be chipped by wildlife or exposed to the elements for several months to break down their tough outer coat."
"Beautiful lupine observed last Spring by native plant enthusiast Katrina."
"Lupine leaves are distinctively star-shaped. This evergreen shrub would make a beautiful lower canopy to your native landscape. (Photo from PixaBay)"
