Ok I'm reading everyones posts & I'm so lost. I have the same Error code
showing up when I try watching anything on my AppleTV (which I got as an Xmas
gift - it was already "jailbroken"). Yesterday it was working completely fine.
Can anyone please give me an easier breakdown on how to fix this?
Basically, since it was a gift - would I be able to fix this myself or do I
need to give it back to the person who broke it? Any help, in a simplified
manner, would be MUCH appreciated! Please feel free to email me directly:
loramos84@hotmail.com. Thanks :)

Nope, this fix did not work for me at all.
Icefilms won't even open, but will show the same Error code.

38 saved everything...you need to download his file and (well that's what I
did) delete what is inside the same folder and replace with the download from
the message 38..I have a MAC and I used CYBERDUCK
/private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/addons/plugin.video.icefilms/mega/

Post 38 gives you the file
Post 49 tells you exactly how to do it. I tried shortcuts to Post 49's
suggestions and they DO NOT work. You MUST delete megaroutines.py from
"/private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/addons/plugin.video.icefilms/mega/
" on your ATV2 and then file transfer (copy) the downloaded megaroutines.py
from Post 38 into the same directory. Just replacing the file did not work for
me.
Also, you MUST unplug the power from the ATV2 as mentioned in Post 49. I tried
to just reload XBMC, this didn't work. I then tried to press Menu and Play
together to force a reboot of the ATV2, then get back into XBMC and try
IceFilms, it wouldn't load. So I then followed Post 49's recommendation to
unplug the ATV2 for 10 seconds and plug it back in, get back into the ATV2
menu, launch XBMC, then successfully launched IceFilms and then successfully
launched a whole bunch content from within Icefilms with no wait time (I do not
have a MegaUpload account).
Thanks so much for putting out a new megaroutines.py file with a 2 line
difference from the old one. It's amazing how such a little code change makes
such a difference in app performance. And yes, after a file compare the
difference between the two files is that the new megaroutines.py file has 2
extra lines somewhere in the code (in the same block of code actually).

Once I download #38 file what's the next step? I read it's supposed to replace
a different 'file' but I don't think I have that 'file' on my laptop. Is that a
problem? If it IS a problem, is there a way I can get that 'file' so I can
replace it with #38's.
Please, I cannot go back to cable - it's like having to sit back in Coach!

Thanks 38 for the fix as it did fix the script error, but I am having the exact
same problem as 50. I can only watch one video and if I try to watch another
after everything looks like it is loading but a quick blink of working in the
lower right corner and nothing happens. unplugging the ATV2 will let me see
another movie but I will have to unplug the EVERY time to see videos. Any help
would be appreciated!!

Ok guys...here it is step by step
Download the fix from "comment 38" and save it on your desktop.
This is the WINDOWS method!
1.See that your apple TV is connected to your "TV" NOT your computer! No micro
USB needed!
2.Open FileZilla (Host:Yr Apple TV IP addrs/ Username:root Password:alpine
/Port:22) to get into your apple TV
3.Find the folder in filezilla on your
computer..../private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/addons/plugin.video.ice
films/mega/
4.Delete the old "megaroutines.py" file, DO NOT DELETE the "megaroutines.pyc"
file!!!(This DELETE is a MUST.. no shortcuts)
5.ADD the new "megaroutines.py" file (i.e the fix you downloaded onto yr
desktop)
6.Unplug the apple tv from the power cord and HDMI and wait 10 seconds.
7.Reconnect the apple TV, first the power and then the HDMI cable.
8.Start Icefilms through Xbmc and check
9.Bring out the pop and popcorn :)
10. Enjoy!!!

K it worked for me eventually.
make sure you leave the files _init_py and _init_pyc and megaroutines.pyC
untouched. Change only the megaroutines.py file.
I followed the process in post 49 but I mistakenly removed the .pyc file as
well. I assumed the pyc was a backup ("c" as in "copy") of the old py file so I
figured it should be deleted as well.
Now if you delete the .pyc file it seems like XBMC (V11.0 Eden) notices this
upon start-up and automatically downloads a backup/restores it to how it was
before. This seems to replace the updated py from post 38 and revert back to
where you started. I'm just guessing this is what happens. Really I have no
idea.
Anyways post 70 specifically said not to do this. I did the process over
again and woohoo thanks to all of you!
It was a pain in the ass but now the updates have made the experience so much
better. I'm actually glad it messed up. Thanks again

Thank you, you guys are great and on top of the changes to keep us up and
running. I do not care about the wait time, only wish I could play icefilms on
2 different atv2 at the same time with the free account..... Thanks again for
your hard work!!!

OK, I've been consumed by this failing apple tv for about a week now and after
reading seemingly every post on the internet and having my wife on the brink of
divorce ;) I've come up with what I think has fixed it. (well mine's working
anyway)
Step 1. plug into your modem via ethernet and access settings (google how to do
this)
Step 2. Change the encryption to wpa personal/encription type AES.
Step 3. Open security tab and uncheck the box for ip flood protection/try
disabling the firewall completely but turn it back on if no change(leave ip
flood protect off)
Step 4. completely restore apple tv to its original factory settings
Step 5. download the new updated free season pass jailbreak tool and follow the
instructions (super easy)
Step 5. now that your apple is jailbroken, plug it in to your tv and reconnect
wifi
Step 6. youtube how to ssh (using mac terminal or the other way using windows)
nito tv onto your apple tv.
Step 7. go to install software inside the nito tv menu and install xbmc from
there
Step 8. youtube/google how to upload icefilms and other plugins using cyber
duck program (mac) or another program for windows.
After I did all this, I played movie after movie back to back and it worked
with zero script errors
I also changed the skin for xbmc and it changed the entire menu UI which was
really cool.
For those of you who have paid to have their apple tv's jailbroken. I've
googled and you tubed my way through everything. it is very easy and is better
to do it yourself for times like then when it is not working so you can fix it
yourself.

I have a jailbroken apple tv 2 version 4.4.4 with xbmc eden 11.0 I did exactly
as instructed in post 70. I played 2 movies and then couldn't play any tv shows
off of Icefilms addon. It doesn't give me an error message it just has the
circle (working symbol) and the play icon flashes briefly in the left hand
corner and then nothing happens. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

I also followed the direction exactly...without success. I still get the same
"script failed" error message. It seems that perhaps this fix worked for those
with the previous version of Icefilms. I have 1.0.25 and it's completely
useless. Very disappointing.
