It builds and it has been somewhat tested as specified in #23 . So I think this is good enough for a first pass.

I'm just going to go ahead and merge this one to keep moving forward. Since this is a new port, there really can't be regressions, and at least we have a starting point for further work. Please let me know if there is anything I should follow-up on.
