it might mess with the register feature due to changes in router. Let's take a look at it when it does.
initially I wanted only login/register in auth_repository/state but the new 'update' function landed there as well, it's easier this way. maybe we should rename this to user_repository/state

You are right with the register feature, I closed the PR and will redo it from scratch. Too much has changed in the last PRs.
