openbve train operation improvement #965

I hope Halt.wav in sound.cfg works. From the perspective of a visually impaired person, I think it will be easier to stop a train when Halt.wav is activated rather than making a sound when the train approaches a stopping station. By modifying the csv file as shown below, even visually impaired people can easily stop the train. Find the station you want to stop at. Look for the word "stop" and enter the following below: .Doppler sm101.wav; 0; 2.55 Stopping is easy when used with Halt.wav. I think it would be better if the train ran at a set speed. I think it would be convenient for visually impaired people to drive at a constant speed.

Description

Please describe the issue you are experiencing.

Reproduction

If the issue occurs in multiple routes/ trains, please provide one or two samples. In order to reproduce the issue and debug it, it's helpful to have the following:

Route

Please provide a link to where the route may be downloaded.

Train

Please provide a link to the train may be downloaded.

Logs

Logs may be accessed through the 'Report Problem' button on the bottom left of the screen. Please provide a log, and a crash-log if the game actually crashes.

You're asking for some somewhat radical design changes there, which are unlikely to be done.

Halt.wav is controlled by the inbuilt pass alarm system, which is often not fitted. Adding a new doppler to routefiles isn't something that can really be done easily either.

Perhaps a solution would be to add some sort of message when approaching (say) 500m of a station stop.

I think one of the biggest issues here may well end up being personal preference as to how exactly you want something to be done, and your exact needs.
