Strategy Guide or Design Tips Needed! #36

Hello! It's getting pretty tough at a few levels in, either i'm missing something or i'm playing the game wrong. I've played tons of RTS games and I love them. I have at least 7 hours in this one already and it's got me stuck to where I think I can do but, but fail every time. I have designed my own ships but i'd like some tips on building ideas or what kind of designs I should use for each level, or if I should rush the wells. Stuff like that'd you'd expect from almost any game that takes critical thinking. Thanks!

Where are you getting stuck? And how are you losing?

The strategy changes a bit as you advance through the game. But here are some general hints:

  1. Have you unlocked the interface object? They make your ships last much longer. Make sure you put them on components that are protected from attack.

  2. If you're having trouble with losing bases, try using stronger ones. The default tri-base process is fairly strong if you add an interface object to each of the three fork pieces. If you've unlocked more advanced static cores you can make it even stronger.

  3. Or alternatively try designing larger harvesters that are able to defend themselves against smaller enemies and escape from larger ones.

  4. Attack enemies from multiple directions, and target components with interface objects if possible (you can do this by right-clicking on the specific component).

  5. Scout often and try to pick off new enemy bases as they're built. You may be able to intercept enemy builders and harvesters as well.

I've also posted on your Itch.io Topics pages, if you could check those out and reply to those as well, that'd be great. I go into more detail there and explain more. Would love to see you work on this more! Thank you for your reply : )
