Team Name: TechTonic Titans Description of project: Studies show that when it comes to household responsibilities, women do far more cognitive and emotional labour than men. While we live in a time where gender equality is discussed more than ever, women in heterosexual relationships still do the majority of the housework and childcare. Constantly stressing about the never-ending list of tasks and chores can have a negative impact on relationships and mental health. The aim of our app is to divide housework and chores more evenly among family members. Anyone in the family can add on a task that needs doing and everyone in the family will be able to see it. Instead of one partner having to verbally ask and remind the other partner, to take out the rubbish bins every time, you can just put it in the app and it will remind your partner to do it automatically each week. The aim of this is to stop one partner from feeling like they constantly have to nag and complain to the other partner to get a little bit of help. It also, means the other partner doesn't have the excuse that they don't know whatn needs to be done around the house.
