Hey @pimterry
Sounds great, we usually try to do 20 min slots for 3 speakers.
Ah, interesting, ok. Pulling in the whole of this would be difficult then, but I can definitely do a wider intro on just web components in that kind of time. Does that work?
can you split it into two talks with awesome demos?
Could do, probably. There's some nice parallels though, so it's neater doing them together and talking about those (I just did this at a conf in barcelona, which is why I'm keen to give it a go over here too). ...Could I take a double slot?
Otherwise doing microservices totally on its own isn't as good as web components I think. It'd be ok, but it's more architectural patterns and quite a bit less concrete, so I worry it might all feel a little fluffy.
(Whereas I do think web components are a good topic that works in a 20 minute slot, if that's the way you'd rather go)
hmm interesting.. its never been done before :-)
can we have a break in the middle of it? if so then yeah, why not
Sure. I've never tried that, but I think it should work. Let's just go for it and see
sold!
Hi @pimterry are you still okay to run this awesome session?
Yep, very happy to.
Thanks see you on the 28th more details to come :)
I've got a talk put together on web components, microservices, and the shared principles behind both of them (complete with node-based example). Does that sound like a good fit for LNUG?
Not sure how long your talks typically are; this is about 30 minutes, but that's a bit tight, so a 35/40 minute slot would be great if that's possible. It looks like the October & November slots are already pretty full, but January 28th would work for me.
