The application works fine. just download it and form your terminal run this command chmod a+x Dolphin_Emulator-x86_64.AppImage then ./Dolphin_Emulator-x86_64.AppImage or just double click upon it.
this down bellow are other projects that develope dolphin and pack it as appimage.
