Walkthrough for Institute Website

Being Developed by GLUG NITD

Starting with the current website, we have identified the need of a new, modern website with better back-end functionality. The aforesaid issues are documented below:

Issues

• Insufficient availability of data.
• New label being displayed against very old data.
• Dead links which do not redirect to any page.
• Lack of uniform font style and font size.
• No compliance with the rules and regulations prescribed by the Government of India.

Proposal

This is what we propose for the new website:

• We have chosen the website of NIT Rourkela as the reference.
• The entire website will be a multi-level hierarchy with the proposed tiles structure as instructed.

Landing Page

• Increasing the carousel image size to fit the width of the container.
• Grouped tile structure (as shown in the image) for better accessibility.
• Proper navigation and footer with quick links and national portals(such as Digital India, etc.).
• A Student Notice Board to show the recent notices.

Navigation Bar
