Prize Title

Challenge Description

The next wave of social media and DAO applications built on-chain will be built with Universal Profiles, allowing for censorship resistant and verifiable social interaction and coordination. LUKSO’s new smart contract and metadata standards unlock many possibilities. For example, projects can set up web pages by directly fetching data from Universal Profiles and LUKSO Standard Proposals (LSPs) could extend Universal Profile features to allow followers and chatting.

For this bounty, develop a decentralized social media feed system (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc) based on bloom filters, merkle trees or other cryptographic references, that can be stored in a Universal Profile ERC725Y data store. The feed should be based on an off-chain decentralized storage system (as on-chain posts would be too gas intensive). The messages and message root should be linked to the Universal Profile. Messages should be signed via a signing key. Bonus points will be considered for clever gas saving methods used!

Note: All submissions are automatically considered for the Community Choice Award prize pool of $40,000. All prizes will be denominated in LYXe at the time of payout. We reserve the right to not pay out the full prize if the submission does not meet the minimum criteria.

Getting Started

Build on the LUKSO L16 Public Testnet.
Use the Universal Profile Browser Extension as the user interface.
Experiment and build with LUKSO’s Universal Profiles, new smart contract standards and tools.
You are encouraged to use the following libraries: lsp-factory.js, erc725.js and the relayer API (if you want to hide transaction fees from your users).

Submission Requirements

Your submission should contain the following:

Create a public GitHub repository for your project, then submit it using the Gitcoin platform.
Create a README.md which contains the project name, name and email of team members, and explains the project and how to run it.
Include a video (about 3 minutes) that demonstrates your submission. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook Video and made public.
Please submit your project by August 31st at 5pm CEST.

Judging Criteria

Potential Contribution: How will this project contribute to the growth of the LUKSO ecosystem?
Originality & Creativity: How novel and innovative is the idea?
Technical Excellence: Is the code well-written, well-documented, and/or technically innovative?
User Experience & Design: Does the design of the project make the user experience easy?
Usage of LUKSO’s new standards and tools: To what extent are the available standards and tools leveraged?

The TRN protocol is a decentralized social media graph which allows the decentralized back up of network wide interactions. ThisRightNow.com is a portal to interact with the TRN protocol. ThisRightNow.com has a cyclical economic structure designed to incentivize creation, curation, and storage of story-form social media content. Content will be stored on an IPFS gateway called ourTRN.earth. TRN earnings are based on peer review which inevitably leads to better more positive content over time. This application hopes to captivate your hopes in making web3 social media reality. I hope to complete TRN's initial foundation for this submission which includes generic feed, post, follow, like, dislike, search and profile functionality. 3) sheydou has started work.

I will build a social network platform called Luksocial. A decentralized, censorship-resistant, and user-friendly social network that will be built on top of Lukso which we can use the Universal Profiles. 5) thienpow has started work.

A social app based on Food Celebrities with their followers. Similar to OnlyFans, Celebrities/Creators upload their food content instead of porn, with a map pin, food health/recipe. Fans will use the app to find best food, as their route guide. Fans will tips/reward the creators with coins/gifts. 6) sol-devloper has started work.

We are building a social media based on Lukso smart contracts 7) bijaybogati has started work.

Newsmetry is a social news feed app with geo tagging where first responder put their findings as news feed and validator based on same location will validate (Vote) the content removing fake news and rewarding creator. 8) zhangmin007 has started work.

The project is a blog plantform, you can send blog to LUKSO block chain with your UP or metamask,and tip eachother with LYXT and leave your comment. 9) zcstarr has started work.

This project is about decentralizing social media feed on the LUKSO Blockchain. It is heavily inspired by Twitter. "El Diario" is Spanish and stands for "diary".
