BUILD THE NEXT GENERATION OF DAPPS ON UNIVERSAL PROFILES
Along with the launch of LUKSO’s L16 Public Testnet, we’re excited to announce a 6-week online hackathon – the first LUKSO Build UP!
Build on Universal Profiles (UPs), by exploring and utilizing LUKSO standard proposals (LSPs) as well as our developer tools and libraries.
- The current standards widely used in blockchain today are inflexible and limited. LSPs are the building blocks of the LUKSO ecosystem which enable developers to create more user friendly and interactive applications
- Universal Profiles are smart contract based accounts that leverage multiple LSPs to improve the blockchain user experience and onboarding into Web3. They are easy to create and allow creators, brands and users to explore the multiverse with a long lasting, reputable and interoperable digital identity

Please Note: All submissions are automatically considered for the Community Choice Award ($40,000). All prizes will be denominated in LYXe at the time of payout. We reserve the right to not pay out the full prize if the submission does not meet the minimum criteria.
What to Expect
Before the Hackathon
- Get inspired by our bounty categories
- Become a part of our community by joining LUKSO’s Discord, connect with other hackers, team up and follow the hackathon announcement channel for updates!
- You can join as an individual or as a team of up to 6
- Learn about the LUKSO ecosystem through the developer resources (below)
During the Hackathon (6 weeks)
- Participate in our kickoff off webinar (July 20th) to learn to build dapps using LSPs and UPs as well as ask questions
- Start building the next generation of dApps on Universal Profiles and have fun!
- Build on the LUKSO L16 Public Testnet
- Use the Universal Profile browser extension as the user interface
- Experiment and build with LUKSO’s Universal Profiles, new smart contract standards and tools
- You are encouraged to use the following libraries: lsp-factory.js, erc725.js and the relayer API (if you want to hide transaction fees from your users)
- Submit your project via Gitcoin by August 31st, 5pm CEST
After the Hackathon
- We begin the judging process and also let the LUKSO community vote for their favorite submissions (Community Choice Award)
- Winners of the categories and prizes will be announced on September 15
