[ Featre request ] : Add options for enable/disable programs' icons and generic names #299

Hi, I've notice that in pamac 6.0 there are new graphical feature : generic application name instead the package name (example: "search-file" instead "gnome search tool"), programs' icons showed, the old search bar replaced by a pop-up one.

These features make the interface less polished and less minimal, and I personally found it less productive than the old one. Some people likes traditional UIs , some people may prefer the new one. So, can you add more options for enable/disable these new fancy-look features, for pepole that may likes a more minimal and polish approach using graphical package managers?

I do agree that the “popup“ search field is strange, and also questioning for what this behaviour is usefull?

Know that now search starts as soon as you type anything.

Maybe we should have advised this new feature more clearly. Anyway, since it is hidden we may make the edit field now larger.
