@jcrouser In TA hours last night Ananda and I came up with a way to work around this issue! The updated code is in the app.R file of this commit: https://github.com/mariumtapal/sds235-final-project/commit/d64c91a49475abbb5eefda96f554e2351bac60f4 However, because we didn't figure out what was causing the original problem, this is the commit with that code because I am still curious about why it was throwing that error: https://github.com/mariumtapal/sds235-final-project/commit/09e4cabe3ab06e722ba6f7b1896a572df3e4b244
Hello! Hmm, I can't seem to view that commit. Is the repo private?
Hmm, it shouldn’t be but I will check with Marium. Also it’s totally fine if we don’t figure this out, our project is working great without it so you should for sure prioritize other groups that need help.

When we try to run the file app.R, it throws an error on line 82 that says object year_received (the variable for year) not found. This seems to be because in the code for race_plot, found in the demographics.R file, the data is grouped by and does not include year_received. We need to figure out how to make sure year_received is included without changing the plot. Update: we grouped by year_received as well, but it is still throwing that error. @jcrouser
